Hand grenade left in front of Nijverdal home

A hand grenade was found in front of a home on Dr. Mensinkweg in Nijverdal on Tuesday morning. Explosive experts from the Ministry of Defense are at the scene to investigate, the Overijssel police said on Twitter.

The explosive was reported to the police at around 7:00 a.m. The Defense explosive removal department EOD is currently trying to determine whether the explosive is real or a dummy.

If it turns out to be real, the EOD will dismantle and remove it.

The police are investigating.

A few months ago, a car burned down on this same street, according to Tubantia.
