Father arrested for girl's abduction that triggered Amber Alert
A man was arrested for abducting his 11-year-old daughter from her primary school in Lelystad on Thursday afternoon, triggering an Amber Alert. The man does not have custody of the child, NOS reports.
The girl and her father were found in the center of Lelystad around 30 minutes after the Amber Alert was issued on Thursday. The girl was in good health, the police said.
A police spokesperson told NOS that the arrest was the result of "a combination of detective work and the Amber Alert." An Amber Alert spokesperson told NL Times that the alert led to the girl being found so quickly.
