
Armed men abduct two from Roosendaal home
Two men were abducted by armed from from a home in Roosendal on Monday night, the police said on Wednesday. They were pushed into a stolen car, threatened and beaten. Four hours later the two wounded men were released in a forest in the Rotterdam district of Hoogvliet.
The armed abductors forced their way into the home on Wattstraat around 10:00 p.m. on Monday. They threatened the resident and a visitor. The two were then abducted in a car that belonged to the home, the police said. During the ride the abductors threatened and beat the two men. They wanted money. At around 2:00 a..m. on Tuesday, the two men were kicked out of the car in Hoogvliet.
The victims were taken to hospital where their injuries were treated.
The police are looking for the abductors and the stolen car. According to Omroep Brabant, the police suspect the abduction has to do with cannabis cultivation.
