3rd, 4th Amsterdam cops suspended in a week
Two more police staffers in Amsterdam were suspended for breach of duty, police announced in a statement on Thursday. Four police workers in Amsterdam have faced suspensions for poor conduct since May 28 alone.
Few details were released about the third and fourth staff members facing disciplinary action. They were said to have committed a “breach of duty,” according to an official statement.
Last week, a police officer was suspended for harassment, authorities said. One newspaper, De Telegraaf, reported that it was for “stalking.” Another officer suspected of fraud and forgery was suspended on May 28.
Investigations in all four cases were being carried out by the Amsterdam police department’s Security, Integrity and Complaints unit, which handles internal cases, including criminal cases, at the department.
