Weekend to be cloudy and cool in Netherlands

While the Netherlands is enjoying warm sunny weather on Friday, the weekend will not be quite as pleasant. Saturday and Sunday will be cloudy and cooler, with some rain showers expected, according to Weeronline.

Friday's afternoon temperatures of up to 25 degrees will start to cool down as afternoon turns into evening, thanks to a northwesterly wind. Overnight, cloud cover will spread across the country from the Wadden area, according to the weather service.

Saturday morning will start out mostly cloudy, with a chance of light rain in the west, southwest and north of the country in the early morning and in the south later in the morning. The sun will break through for periods during the course of the afternoon, but clouds will cover it again by Saturday evening. Maximums of between 16 degrees in the coastal areas and 19 degrees in the south are expected. While this is quite a bit cooler than the previous days, it is very normal temperatures for the end of may, Weeronline said.

Sunday is expected to be cloudy with showers in the evening. Maximums will range between 18 and 22 degrees, with a moderate to strong west- to southwesterly wind making it feel a few degrees cooler.
