Tilburg police station closed after cops fall ill two days in a row

A police station in Tilburg was closed with immediate effect on Thursday after police officers working at the station fell ill two days in a row. Contaminated climate control filters are believed to be the culprit, NOS reports.

The station on Brucknerlaan was evacuated for some time on Wednesday after five police officers suddenly started feeling unwell. They reported smelling a strange odor. They were checked over by paramedics, but none of them had to go to hospital.

When the same thing happened on Thursday, it was decided to close the police station with immediate effect.

Initial investigation showed that the climate control in the building had contaminated filters. This will be further investigated on Friday.

The police station will remain closed until the cause of the problems has been identified with certainty. Until then, visitors will be referred to other police stations in the area.
