Cold weekend ahead; snow expected on Remembrance Day

Bad news for those hoping that the winter weather ended with a cold King's Day. The weather expected for Remembrance Day and Liberation Day does not look much better. It will definitely be cold, and there is even a chance of hail and snow on Saturday, meteorologist William Huizinga of Buienradar said to RTL Nieuws.

Temperatures will start dropping along with the chance of showers increasing on Thursday. From Friday it will be chilly. "It will be around 10 degrees that day." May 4th will be no warmer than 9 degrees, with ambient temperatures dropping to 5 degrees during showers. "Then there will be wet showers with hail and even snow", Huizinga said.

Liberation Day will look somewhat better with "quite a bit of sun" and drier weather, according to the meteorologist. "It is still a bit cool at 11 degrees, but it is certainly sunnier than the days before." Last year Liberation Day was a sunny 20 degrees Celsius.
