King's Night parties in Amsterdam tonight

King's Day is a big deal in the Netherlands and especially in Amsterdam, where multiple parties are held on the day to celebrate King Willem-Alexander's birthday. But you don't have to wait for tomorrow to start celebrating, with various King's Night parties ready to get you into the King's Day spirit on Friday night.

Here follows an overview of King's Night parties in Amsterdam tonight, compiled by NU.nl.

At the Westergasfabriek on Westergas entrepreneurs joined forces to organize a King's Night party in the factory. Four stages will feature music ranging from funky to salsa, and from jazz to swinging orchestra, with terraces where you can take a break and enjoy a meal. The party starts at 6:00 p.m. and entrance is free. More information can be found here.

Noordemarkt will feature the Rewind & Het Partyfeest from 7:00 p.m. tonight and from 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. Libertine Amsterdam and Restaurant Domenica will make sure everyone has enough to drink and eat on their corner, with entertainment provided by a large stage featuring DJs like Walter Looks, Nathalie Patty, Alain Kuipers and Hippe Types B. Cafe De Blavende Vis on Westerstraat 118 will unveil its annually recurring facade decoration during King's Night, all accompanied by cold drinks and live music. The unveiling will happen at midnight, in preparation for De Blavende Vis' King's Day celebrations on Saturday. More information here.

Cafe Hendrix on Clercqstraat will welcome King's Day by dancing through King's Night. The DJs will be playing soul, funk, house and classics. The party starts at 6:00 p.m. and entrance is free. More information can be found here.

Cafe P.King will celebrate King's Night and King's Day in front of its own door with house and techno music playing at the intersection between Herengracht and Vijzelstraat. Visitors only need to bring money for drinks, as entry is free. Performing DJs include Dimitri Kneppers, Philip Young and JAMA. The King's Night festivities start at 7:00 p.m. More information here.
