Amsterdam police free man tied to fence next to car fire

The police in Amsterdam freed a 30-year-old man who was tied to a fence next to a burning car early on Friday morning. The victim was taken to hospital with unknown injuries. How the man came to be tied to a fence, and how he sustained his injuries, is not yet known, NU.nl reports.

The fire brigade and police responded to the car fire on Tom Schreursweg at around 3:20 a.m. At the scene, firefighters and cops heard the man calling for help.

The man was not tied up right next to the burning car, but a distance away, a spokesperson for the police said to NU.nl.

The police are investigating what happened.
