Suspect arrested for stabbing joggers, cyclists in Noord-Holland

The police arrested a 23-year-old man from Julianadorp on Wednesday evening on suspicion of stabbing a girl and three women while they were jogging or cycling in Castricum, Egmond aan den Hoef and Barsingerhorn in November and January, reports.

The perpetrator hit the victims with his car or drove past them and then stabbed them with a sharp object. The victims are 15, 18, 18 and 52 years old. 

"After extensive investigation by linking the information and trace evidence from the four separate investigations to each other, the investigators found the 23-year-old suspect", the police said in a statement on Thursday. The motive behind the attacks is still unknown.

The suspect will be arraigned on Friday.
