Young men killed in Hague highway crash all connected to same family: report
Four young men who were killed in an accident on the A12 highway in The Hague on Wednesday morning, are all connected to one family. The victims are three men from a Dutch-Turkish family, and a Dutch man in his 20s who was in a relationship with a woman from the Turkish family, Omroep West reports.
"It is terribly sad", Tahsin Cetinkaya of the Turkish-Islamic Cultural Foundation The Hague said to the broadcaster. The family came together at the foundation's center on Kempstraat. "We offer them support and the bodies will also come here. The funeral is on Thursday in our prayer room", Cetinkaya said.
The car carrying the four victims ended up on its side and crashed into a traffic portal at Ypenburg station, near Prins Clausplein. The accident happened at around 1:00 a.m. The cause of the accident is still unclear.
The police have not yet confirmed the victims' identities.
