Body found in Arnhem river; police investigating

A body was found in the Nederrijn in Arnhem on Monday afternoon. A local resident saw the body floating in the river along Westervoortsedijk, across from computer center CCV, De Gelderlander reports.

The police removed the body from the water and transferred it to Elst for further investigation. So far nothing is known about the victim's identity. It is also unclear how long the victim was in the water. A police officer at the scene told the newspaper it was "already some time".

The police are investigating.
