Rapper MHD's Amsterdam concert canceled over arrest
A performance by French rapper MHD set to take place at AFAS Live in Amsterdam on Wednesday evening, was canceled at the last minute. The rapper was arrested in connection with a fatal brawl, NU.nl reports.
"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the concert of MHD in Amsterdam on 16 January in AFAS Live can not continue to our great regret", MHD's organizers said in a statement to AFAS Live. "We are working hard on a new date in Amsterdam and hope to confirm this as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience."
According to AFAS Live, purchased tickets for Wednesday's performance will automatically be valid for the new date. "We understand that you were looking forward to a nice performance and find it annoying to have to bring you this news", concert organizer Mojo said on the venue's site.
AT5 reports that the rapper's car was spotted at the scene where a 23-year-old man was killed in a fight. Whether the artist was actually involved in this incident, is not clear.
