Photos: 80 people ride Amsterdam subway with no pants
Around 80 people participated in Amsterdam's "no pants subway ride" on Sunday afternoon. The rode the subway on the Noord-Zuid line without wearing pants, AT5 reports.
This phenomenon blew over from New York. It is a counter to the annual "blue Monday", supposedly the most depressing day of the year. This year blue Monday falls on January 21st.
"Normally I never get out of my comfort zone. So I thought, let me do something crazy", one participant said to AT5.
Some non-participating passengers received quite a shock. "When I came into the subway, I suddenly saw two people without pants. That was awkward", one said to the city broadcaster.
Een traditie is geboren. In navolging van New York, Berlijn en Londen heeft Amsterdam nu ook een No Pants Subway Ride. https://t.co/Qytihzx8wG pic.twitter.com/76iRl6iSZL
