Mystery surrounds young Rotterdam woman's death

The police are investigating the death of Bianca van Es. The 29-year-old woman was found dead in her home on Luntershoek in Rotterdam under suspicious circumstances on Friday morning. An autopsy found traces of violence on the young woman's body, but her cause of death is still a mystery, the police said in a statement.

A team of 20 detectives is working on the investigation. Police officers spoke to a number of local residents and witnesses, forensic experts investigated the victim's home, and detectives are currently viewing available camera footage.

"The police can still use your help", the police said. The investigation team is still working on mapping out the victim's last days and can use more information about her activities, whereabouts, and people she had contact with. "The police are particularly interested in making contact with people who saw something suspicious on Luntershoek during the last few days. But other information that can help in the investigation is also very welcome."
