Man wanted for assaulting boy, 6 in Amsterdam supermarket
The police released footage of a man wanted for assaulting a 6-year-old boy in a supermarket on Mercatorplein in Amsterdam West on September 7th. Investigators hope the public can help identify the man, Het Parool reports.
The police gave the man a week to come forward. Because he didn't, surveillance camera footage showing the man's face was now released.
At around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7th, the boy ran into the supermarket and collided the man. The man grabbed the boy by the head, kneed him in the stomach, and left the boy lying shocked on the floor as he walked away. The neighbor who the boy was with called after the man, but he ignored her.
The man looks to be in his mid to late twenties. He is about 1.80 meters tall and has a slender build. At the time of the incident, he was waring a gray cap, a green sweater with white print, and blue sweatpants.
