Arson suspected in cruise ship fire

Arson may be involved in a fire on cruise ship AidaNova in Groningen's Eemshaven on Wednesday morning. The police started an investigation into the cause of the fire, at the request of the captain, RTV Noord reports.

The ship will remain in the harbor during the investigation. A planned six days long trip was therefore canceled.

Around 3 thousand people work on AidaNova, most of whom stay on board overnight. Due to the fire, owner Meyer Werft decided to book hotel rooms for the staff.
