Woman falls from 3rd floor balcony, apartment resident arrested

A 41-year-old woman was injured after she fell from a third floor balcony of an apartment building on Hogeweg in Venlo on Monday morning. The resident of the involved apartment, who was at home at the time of the fall, was arrested as a suspect, 1Limburg reports.

How the woman fell from the balcony is still under investigation. The resident was arrested as part of this investigation. He is being questioned. The police are also doing a trace evidence investigation at the scene and speaking to neighbors and local residents. "The investigation must show if this was a punishable offense", the police said, according to the newspaper.

The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. Her current condition is unknown.
