Shots fired, hand grenade left at Diemen home

Shots were fired at a home in Diemen during the early hours of Friday morning. A hand grenade was also left at the home, a spokesperson for the police confirmed to ANP on Friday.

The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. As far as is known, no one was injured. The spokesperson could not say whether anyone was in the home at the time.

The hand grenade was disarmed and removed.

A burning scooter was found in the vicinity. The police are investigating whether the two incidents are related.

So far nothing is known about the motive behind this attack. "It's just a terraced house", the police spokesperson said to the news wire.

According to NH Nieuws, the home is located on De Trekschuit and the scooter was found in Flevopark.
