
Suspected Dutch jihadist arrested in Turkey
The Turkish police arrested a 24-year-old woman from Apeldoorn in the southeastern province of Sanliurfa. She is suspected of being a jihadist and a member of terrorist organization Islamic State. An Algerian who lives in the Netherlands was also arrested, NOS reports.
The authorities in Turkey received information about suspected ISIS members being smuggled from Syria to Turkey. A total of 14 people were arrested - 12 foreign suspected terrorists and two Syrians. In addition to the Dutch woman and the two Syrians, the suspects include seven Algerians, two Iraqis, and Egyptian and a person with Moroccan and British nationality.
Some high ranking ISIS members were among the arrestees, according to NOS. One of the suspects also said that some of them are medical doctors for ISIS.
