Mother and 6-year-old daughter found murdered in Groningen home

A 23-year-old mother and her 6-year-old daughter were found murdered in their home in Haren, Groningen on Saturday. The victim's 1-year-old baby was also in the home on Jufferpad, but was unharmed, ANP reports.

The police believe the murders had to do with relationship problems. A 20-year-old man from Glimmen was arrested. How he is related to the woman and children, was not revealed. The suspect was questioned several times.

According to the news wire, the suspect and victims originally came from East Africa. They had temporary residency permits for the Netherlands.
