Murdered woman's partner found dead in Friesland ditch

The body of a 30-year-old man was found in a ditch in Franeker, Friesland on Thursday. The police had been looking for the man since his partner, a 31-year-old woman, was found murdered in their home in the city on September 12th, AD reports.

The cause of the man's death is still unclear. A passerby spotted the man's body in a ditch near Edisonstraat.

The 31-year-old woman was found murdered in the home she and the 30-year-old man shared on Jan Reitsmastraat on September 12th. A visitor called the police after he couldn't reach the victim. How the woman was killed is not clear, the police only said she was killed in a crime.

The police could find no trace of the woman's partner after her murder and immediately started searching for him as a suspect.
