Child on bicycle run over by truck in Wierden

A young girl was killed in a traffic accident on Nijverdalsestraat in Wierden on Friday morning. She was on her bicycle when she was run over by a truck around 8:00 a.m., according to De Gelderlander and Tubantia.

The age of the girl is unknown.

An eyewitness told the newspapers that the truck rolled down a hill without a driver behind the steering wheel. The police could not confirm this.
