Tilburg shooting victim identified as 25-year-old Rotterdam man

A 25-year-old man from Rotterdam was injured in the shooting in an apartment building on Puccinistraat in Tilburg early on Tuesday morning. He was shot in the abdomen and the leg. Many residents were witnesses to the shooting, Omroep Brabant reports.

One resident was woken by the sound of gunshots and screaming. "I ran to my balcony and saw a man hanging over the balcony a short distance away. He shouted for help. And then I saw him fall", the resident, who asked to remain anonymous, said to the broadcaster.

The victim was rushed to the hospital. According to AD, he is in a stable condition and not in life-threatening danger.

The perpetrators fled. A police helicopter circled the area for some time, searching for suspicious vehicles, but without success. The perpetrators are still at large.
