One hurt in early morning Tilburg shooting; gunmen at large

One person was hurt in a shooting on Puccinistraat in Tilburg early on Tuesday morning. The perpetrators fled in a car and are still at large. A police helicopter was deployed to search for them, AD reports.

The shooting happened around 2:00 a.m. Bystanders saw two suspects drive away. According to the newspaper, the victim sustained two bullet wounds - one in the abdomen and one in the upper leg.

The injured victim climbed over the balustrade of a second floor apartment to the home below and asked the resident for help, according to AD. Paramedics transported him to hospital.

The area around the shooting was closed down by police for investigation. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear.
