Stabbing at Tilburg Fair; man injured

A 21-year-old man was stabbed at Tilburg Fair just after midnight. He was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition. The perpetrator fled, Omroep Brabant reports.

The stabbing happened around 00:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the crossing of Heuvel and Telegraafstraat. The young man sustained multiple stab wounds, but was conscious and able to speak with the police when he was found. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.

After the stabbing the police closed down part of the fair, which was celebrating Pink Monday at the time. The police are searching for the perpetrator, using surveillance camera footage to do so.

The police believe that the perpetrator and victim know each other, according to the broadcaster.
