Mostly dry and cool weather expected for Remembrance, Liberation Day

Most places in the Netherlands should be able to hold the National Commemoration on May 4th without worrying about rain, according to the Dutch weather services. Liberation Day on May 5th should also be dry in most places. Both Remembrance Day and Liberation Day are expected to be cool, with maximum temperatures around 14 degrees Celsius.

According to meteorological institute KNMI, the weather will be partly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain on Thursday and a 20 percent chance on Friday. Weerplaza also sees a chance of showers on Thursday, but expects it will be mostly dry by 8:00 p.m. - the time of the National Commemoration. Weeronline agrees with this expectation.

"For the weather on May 5th there is still some uncertainty, especially with regards to the amount of sunshine and rainfall", Weerplaza meteorologist Michiel Severin said, according to NU.nl. Liberation Day parties in the northern parts of the country have the best chance of sunny, dry weather.
