One killed, one hurt in Venlo fire; care facility evacuated
One person was killed and another injured in a fire in a building in Venlo on Thursday afternoon, the Limburg-Noord fire department said on Twitter.
According to local safety office Veiligheidsregio Limburg-Noord, the fire started on the second floor of care institute Via Cresceno. Emergency services started evacuating the building around 12:00 p.m.
The fire department has the fire under control. It is unclear how it started.
Bewoners en personeel van zorgcomplex Venlo worden intern opgevangen. Brandweer is bezig met ventileren. Incident is brandmeester.
