Man and woman found murdered in Zeeland town

The bodies of a man and a woman were found in the Zeeland village of Dishoek, near Vlissingen on Thursday morning. According to the police, they were murdered, NOS reports.

Emergency services were at the scene at around 9:30 a.m. According to BN de Stem, a passerby noticed a dark blue Mercedes in some bushes on Verlengde Dishoekseweg and called the police. Responding officers found the bodies and closed down the area, according to the newspaper.

It is unclear whether the bodies were found inside the car.

The police are busy with a forensic investigation at the scene, the Zeeland police said on Twitter.

A police helicopter can be spotted flying in the area.
