€30,000 Rolex behind Arnhem armed robbery: local residents

A Marktplaats ad for a Rolex worth 30 thousand euros may be the reason behind an armed robbery that turned fatal on Limburgsingel in Arnhem on Thursday night, local residents said to Gelderlander. One person was killed in the robbery.

The police are still keeping silent about the identity of the deceased person. According to the Gelderlander, the deceased man is one of the armed robbers, who was run over by a delivery van that one of the robbery victims was driving.

Local residents told the newspaper that the residents of the home recently listed a 30 thousand euro Rolex watch for sale on Marktplaats. The resident of the robbed home owns several businesses in Arnhem, including a Primera, a tanning salon, a car dealer ship and a plant and flower wholesaler, the newspaper writes.

Two people were arrested in connection with this incident. Their identities and role in what happened remain unclear.
