Six minors arrested for assault on Amsterdam subway

Six underage kids were arrested at Amsterdam Central Station on Sunday evening on suspicion of assaulting a fellow passenger in a stationary subway train. The victim was injured in the face and knee, Het Parool reports.

The assault happened around 8:30 p.m. on subway 54, which travels to Gein. The victim was assaulted by seven attackers. Six of them were arrested, with the aid of GVB personnel. The suspects are between the ages of 14 and 16 years, all from Amsterdam Zuidoost.

The police are still looking for a seventh suspect, a 20-year-old man.

Investigating officers are calling on witnesses to come forward. Anyone who took photos or filmed the assault can upload these images on the police website.
