Dutch museum pass increasingly popular; 8.5 million visits last year

Nearly 1.3 million people in the Netherlands have a museum pass, and together they used it for 8.5 million museum visits last year, the organization behind the car announced. Card holders visit museums an average of 6.6 time per year, ANP reports.

The Dutch Museum Pass is now 35 years old and continues to grow. In 2015 there were 1.2 million pass holders who visited museums 8.3 million times.

Another 15 museums joined the museum pass initiative on January 1st. Over 400 museums now accept the pass. A pass currently costs 59.90 euros.
