Dutch hiker missing in Scottish Highlands
A Dutch hiker is missing in the Scottish Highlands. 54-year-old Cornelius Hendrick van der Wetering was last seen the area of Inverness on December 28th. The Scottish police believe that he is hiking and camping through the Highlands and are calling on local residents to keep an eye out for him.
The Dutch man left the guesthouse he was staying in on December 28th. He was last seen in the Tomich area, according to the Highland and Islands Police Division on Facebook. Since then he has been unreachable. A concerned friend contacted the police.
The Scottish police are contacting local guesthouses, hotels, bus and taxi companies to find out if anyone in the hospitality industry saw Van der Wetering. They also call on local residents to keep an eye out for him and contact the police if they've seen him.
