Pregnant Dutch ISIS supporter extradited to Netherlands

A 26-year-old pregnant woman arrested in September was extradited by Serbia to the Netherlands this week. The woman, identified as Ramona S. from Maastricht, was taken into custody in Belgrade.

Now seven months pregnant, authorities believe she wanted to carry out terrorist attacks on behalf of ISIS. Her arraignment was expected to be held on Friday.

It was the third time she was stopped while travelling to either Iraq or Syria, the Dutch prosecutor said. There were no legal grounds to hold her in custody in either of the two previous cases. Serbian reports cited by Elsevier say she joined a Belgian-Dutch terrorist network.

She is on the "wanted" lists of multiple countries, Elsevier wrote. Her Belgian-Turkish husband was also arrested in Belgrade.
