KLM cabin crew increasing labor actions; 30 minute strikes between flights
The KLM cabin crew members are increasing the labor actions they are performing against the airline's plans to reduce crew members on some long flights. From Thursday the crew members will strike for 30 minutes before each flight, ANP reports.
According to union VNC, the strikes will start immediately after the morning briefing and will affect all flights between 5:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The union informed KLM about these actions by letter and will discuss it with the airline later on Wednesday.
These short strikes started with 10 minute strikes before flights, and were then increased to 20 minutes.
