Groningen student to press charges against Vindicat after brain injury

A student who sustained a brain injury during hazing at the Groningen student association Vindicat decided to file charges against the association, the Public Prosecutor announced, RTL Nieuws reports.

The young man sustained a cerebral edema when another student stood on his head.

According to the Prosecutor, the investigation into the incident is still ongoing. A spokesperson could not yet say whether it will end up being a criminal case.

The boy initially decided he would not press charges. But the Prosecutor launched its own investigation due to "the seriousness and impact of the incident". The Vindicat board also pressed charges.
