Wilders hate speech trial to continue: Hague court

The trial against PVV leader Geert Wilders will continue, the court in the Hague ruled on Friday. Wilders is facing four variants of two hate speech charges because of statements he made about "fewer Moroccans" in the Hague in 2014. Wilders' lawyer Geert-Jan Knoops argued that the case be dropped immediately. The lawyer stated that a verdict on Wilders' statements would be a judgement on the PVV's program and political decision making - something a court should not do, the lawyer said. But according to NOS, the court in The Hague disagreed. The trial starts on October 31st.
