Broadcaster's car attacked after reports of Maassluis problem youths

A car branded with the logos of WOS and Omroep West was vandalized in 's-Gravenzande after the broadcaster reported on young people causing problems in Maassluis, Omroep West reports. WOS also received two threatening emails. Accrding tot he broadcaster, the cars windows were smashed and there are dents in the side of the car. Nothing was stolen. WOS reported the incident to the police. Late last week WOS reported extensively about unrest caused by young people in Maassluis. According to the broadcaster, a group of mostly Moroccan youths is terrorizing the neighborhood with vandalism, threats and intimidation. While it is not certain that the vandalized car is related to those reports, editor Richard Vroom believes it is based on threatening emails the broadcaster received after the last story about the youths. "I do not need to know that the guys in Burgemeesterswijk have a Moroccan background... Moroccans are in Morocco, these are Dutch, Dutch youths!" the first email reads. "Anyway, you Westland bakward racist farmers will never understand this! I hope your building in 's-Gravenzande is the next target, cunt racists!" The second email reads: "Act tough and let Moroccans stand by the article, tough gangsters!! Cunt racists, your time will come, not from me though!! I am too old, the boys are the new soldiers... Afterwards you will cry cunt racists. We are year and will stay here forever, just accept that."
