Suspicious situation brings Weesp train traffic to a standstill

No trains are currently stopping at the station in Weesp due to a "suspicious situation". The police are investigating, according to the Gooi en Vechstreek Police on Twitter. According to the ANWB the situation involves an unattended bag or suitcase. The only information the police released so far is that a train is standing still on platform 6. The police investigation also means that fewer trains are traveling between Almere and Amsterdam and between Hilversum and Amsterdam. Passengers should take 30 minutes of extra travel time into account. NS is using buses for passengers traveling to and from Weesp. Passing trains don't have to detour and can go past the station as usual, according to NOS.
