Justice Min. disapproves of Turkish youth threatening news crew

Minister Ard van der Steur of Security and Justice strongly disapproves of an incident in which a group of Turkish young people threatened a Hart van Nederland reporter and camera man in Zaandam. But he also feels that the situation should not be exaggerated, he said on Friday, ANP reports. The incident happened in the Zaandam neighborhood of Poelenburg on Thursday. The SBS6 program crew was shooting a piece about nuisance and harassment at a local shopping center when a group of young men confronted them and threatened them into leaving. Local residents also complained about the group's behavior and the disturbances they cause. "I too really find that this behavior can not be allowed and that we must stop it", Van der Steur said on Friday. But he added that the local authorities in Zaandam know how to handle the situation.
