Two found dead in Amstelveen home; cause under investigation

Two people were found dead in a home on Mr Bardeslaan in Amstelveen around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night. The police are investigating cause of death, according to a spokesperson on Twitter. Police officers responded to the home after a report that someone was ill. The two victims were found at the scene. Attempts to resuscitated them were to no avail. Te police are investigating the cause of death. No details about the victims' identities were released. According to AT5, the initial assumption was that they died of carbon monoxide poisoning, but investigation revealed that this was not the case.
