Justice Sec. furious over vandalism at official's home

State Secretary Klaas Dijkhoff of Security and Justice is furious that a activist group vandalized the home of the director of the Repatriation and Departure Service on Thursday night. According to him, the vandalism "exceeds all bounds", he said to the Telegraaf. The top Justice official's home was painted with red paint somewhere during Thursday night. Activist group "Sloop de deportatiemachine" took credit for the vandalism. According to the group it was done to remind the official that she has blood on her hands because she sends refugees back into unsafe situations. "This shows zero decency. Fine if you disagree with something, but that does not justify cowardly intimidation and destruction", Dijkhoff said. He added that the employees at the Repatriation and Departure service works very hard "with a lot of dedication to do this difficult job well and with integrity". "They help people who have no right to remain in the Netherlands to a good start in their homeland."
