Angry neighbor hacks of party-goer's fingers

One attendee at a house party in Drachten on Saturday night saw his evening come to an abrupt end when he lost his little finger and ring finger to an angry neighbor and his machete, Dutch newspaper AD reports. The incident happened during a party at a home on Geelgorsstraat in Drachten on Saturday. According to the police, a 28-year-old man from Drachten was arrested for aggravated assault on a 33-year-old also from Drachten. The victim is still in the hospital and may lose up to three fingers. The circumstances leading up to the incident are still unclear. The attacker was slightly injured. He was taken to a doctor for treatment before being questioned by the police.
