German leftist terrorists sighted in Heerenveen

The Noord-Nederland police received multiple calls from people who believe they've seen three former members of German leftist terrorist group RAF in and around Heereveen, NOS reports. On Wednesday someone reported seeing the trio - Ernst-Volker Staub (61), Burkhard Gargweg (47) and Daniela Klette (57) - in a parking lot on the A32 between Wolvega and Heerenveen. Now there's also been a report of them being spotted in the center of Heereveen, a spokesperson for the police confirmed to broadcaster NOS. The spokesperson said that all tips are being taken seriously and will be given through tot he German authorities. He added that this does not mean the three are in Heerenveen - people sometimes mistakenly think that they recognize criminals, especially in cases that receive a lot of media attention. The three fugitives are wanted in Germany for a number of robberies of supermarkets and cash transports. There is an award of 80 thousand euros for the tip that leads to their arrest.
