Suspect arrested in Eindhoven road rage assualt

A 21-year-old man was arrested in Eindhoven on Monday for severely assaulting a 48-year-old cyclist in a road rage incident, the police said in a statement on their website. Around 3:45 p.m. on Monday the cyclist was cycling across Krusstraat when he crashed into an oncoming car. The driver got out of the car, gave the cyclist several kicks and blows, got back into his car and drove off. The 48-year-old sustained a broken nose, broken jaw, bruised ribs, a concussion and several abrasions. He was treated at the hospital. Notified police officers kept an eye out for the accused. They saw his car driving on Parklaan around 4:00 p.m. and pulled it over. The 21-year-old driver was arrested. He is in custody for further investigation.
