Police kill dog that bit three at Santpoort block party

Police officers in Santpoort-Noord shot and killed an aggressive dog after it bit three people at the village block party on Monday. Eyewitnesses report that the bit its owner in the crotch and refused to let go. Bystanders tried to get the dog off the man, and were bitten for their efforts, NOS reports. According to people on Twitter, the dog was a pit bull. It is unclear exactly why the dog freaked out and attacked.
