Mortgage advice via webcam more popular at ABN Amro

ABN Amro's webcam service for mortgage advice is becoming more and more popular. According to the bank, 25 percent of all it mortgage consultations are now done over the webcam, the Telegraaf reports. The webcam service means that ABN Amro is available for consultations on mortgages seven days a week - the only bank in the Netherlands to be available for mortgage services on a Sunday. The service was launched four years ago. According to the bank, about 500 of the 2 thousand webcam consultations that were done in 2012 ended with a mortgage being signed. ABN Amro plans to increase the use of this option so that eventually 50 percent of all mortgage consultations with the bank happen via webcam.
