Over 300 jobs scrapped in IBM reorganization

IBM is scrapping 334 jobs in the Netherlands as part of a reorganization, trade union De Unie announced on its website on Friday. The union calls it a reorganization with forced redundancies. Involved unions will discuss the matter with IBM in the coming week. According to GIC, it is particularly the IBM branch in Amsterdam that will be affected by the job cuts. For the time being there will be no redundancies in Groningen as service center on Zuiderdiep is a separate unit that still falls outside the reorganization.
