Vigil planned for deceased baby found in Amsterdam bushes

Amsterdam Nieuw-West residents decided to arrange a silent march and vigil for the baby boy whose body was found in bushes near the Sloterplas last week.  The vigil will take place on Wednesday. The march will start from the square in front of the new restaurant Oostoever at 7:00 p.m. A passerby discovered the bag containing the little body while walking along the Sloterplas last week. Exactly when the baby boy died and the cause of death are still unclear. The police are investigating The silent vigil for the baby boy was planned during a neighborhood meeting on Sunday. The police called this meeting to give residents a chance to talk about what happened, the police said on Facebook.
