Eindhoven cops nominated for Rescuers award after caring for sick woman's kids

Eindhoven police officers Stan and Jeroen, who became world famous for a while after a photo of them washing dishes in a sick woman's house went viral, were nominated for the title Rescuer of the Year, AD reports. In early November the officers responded to a home in Woensel-Noord on a report of an unwell woman. They arrived at the same time as an ambulance. The woman was whisked off to a hospital for tests, leaving her five young kids home alone. The two officers decided to hang out with the kids until other help could arrive. They cooked the kids something to eat and even washed up afterwards. The Rescuer of the Year winners will be announced on June 3rd.
